New Year, Great Potential

Happy New Year! We hope that you are having a joyous start to 2015, full of hope and peace, saturated in the goodness of God.

The New Year is traditionally a time for peering into the future. The previous year is behind us, and the coming year is as fresh and ripe with potential as it ever will be. This is where we find ourselves at Appalachian Mountain Leadership. And in that spirit, we would like to share the vision we have cast for this coming year. It is bold and definitely worth pursuing with all the resources and energy that the Lord has given (and intends to give) us.

With our land use permits in hand, thank you US Forest Service, we are officially open for booking groups for the coming Spring, Summer, and Fall Seasons! Here is what we hope to fit into this opening season of AML:

We hope to...
...facilitate 11 customized wilderness programs for small groups
...serve a total of 110 participants through wilderness programs
...facilitate a 14 day wilderness based discipleship program for 8 high school youth
...organize 2 outreach events for climbers/ the outdoor community
...invest in training 10 field staff over the course of the year
...have 1 pilot “rest and renewal program” for the family of a full-time minister

Here is where you come in. Yes, pray for the success of this opening season of AML operations. Also, spread the word! To be fully booked by early Spring would set us free to fully concentrate on running the great programs that we have scheduled.

Here we go...
